Many standby pilots, cabin crew and senior executives of Jet Airways have exited amid relaunch uncertainty, said a report citing sources.

According to a report by CNBC-TV18, the vice president of in-flight service of the airline has been sent on leave, while the pay of CEO Sanjiv Kapoor and the CFO Vipula Gunatilleka has been reduced.

The report claimed that the senior executives who have exited the airline include heads of engineering and human resources.

Some staff members of the airliners are on leave without pay while those whose salaries were cut resigned from the company, said other media reports.

Earlier, Bloomberg reported that lenders to bankrupt Jet Airways were resisting a court-approved resolution plan, further delaying the former No. 1 private airline’s return to the skies.

Jet Airways collapsed in 2019 under a lot of debt after years as India’s top private airline. It had promised to start flying again in March this year but has struggled to order new aircraft because lenders have been reluctant to take on fresh liabilities.
