‘Plans to give more funds to Scouts & Guides’

Mangaluru: Tamil Nadu education minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi visited International Cultural Jamboree at Alva’s Campus on Saturday.
‘Showcase diverse cultures’
He said students should not only showcase their culture in Jamboree but must also know the culture of other districts, states and nation.
There are 3.5 lakh Scouts and Guides in Tamil Nadu. “Our target is to increase the number to 10 lakhs.
The government is thinking of providing more funding for Scout and Guides activities,” he said, appreciating the ongoing cultural jamboree.
