‘Take med once a year to avoid filariasis’

Kanpur: Sixty year old Ramwati of Bhadras Village in Ghatampur Tehsil who has been suffering from unbearable pain of filariasis (elephant foot) for last 30 years and has lost her confidence is now taking proper care of her affected organs, but is also engaged in the campaign to save others from it. This self-confidence she had attained after joining Filariasis patient network . While she advises the community to take medicine once a year to avoid filariasis, she also gives tips for proper care of the affected organs to the patients suffering from filariasis. Ramwati appealed to take medicine once a year during the national filariasis eradication program. Asha workers visit door to door and feed this medicine in front of them.tnn
