Prayagraj: Two unidentified armed men looted cash worth Rs 64,800 from the organiser of grahak sewa kendra (customer service centre) associated with Bank of Baroda (BOB) near Sagra Sundarpur bazaar area of Pratapgarh in broad daylight on Saturday, police said.
The incident took place around 12:20 pm when the victim Salman of Durri Paharpur was busy conducting his daily work at the centre. “Two bike-borne miscreants entered the centre and held Salman on gunpoint and snatched the bag containing cash. Before he could raise alarm, miscreants managed to escape from the scene unchallenged,” police said. Upon being alerted, a team of senior police officials rushed to the spot and carried out investigations. Deputy SP (Lalganj) Ramsurat Sonkar said two police teams have been formed to crack the case. The cops have intensified vehicular checking and were scanning CCTV footages to identify the miscreants. TNN
