Chatra: The Chatra deputy commissioner Abu Imran and health department officials on Saturday held a Covid testing camp at the district collectorate. To give a positive message to society, Imran took the first
test and appealed to the people to undergo the test at the slightest experience of symptoms to prevent the spread of infection and get timely intervention. Imran’s initiative came following an alert issued by the Centre amid the fresh surge of cases in a few countries and its possible outbreak in India.
He said, “This test is free of cost. Everyone should avail it.” Imran said the Covid pandemic is not over in the country and there is no room for complacency. “Everyone must follow Covid-appropriate behaviour once again in the interest of their well-being and of society. Moreover, people must take their full doses of the vaccine to stay safe,” he said.
Deputy development commissioner Utkarsh Gupta and other senior officers also took the tests. tnn
