Govt allots land for 22 panchayat bhawans, but financial nod pending
Jaipur: The state government hasn’t issued financial sanction for building 22 panchayats bhawans in 11 districts even though land has been allotted for those, a data received from the rural development and panchayati raj department stated.
On the other hand, work of building 36 panchayat bhawans in 11 districts has started even though financial sanction has already been issued by the government, it added. Also, allotment of land for building panchayat bhawans is pending in 14 districts, it also mentioned.
The districts in which financial sanction has not been issued yet are: Jaipur (5 panchayat bhawans), Barmer (4), Dausa (3), Hanumangarh (2), Jhunjhunu (2), Alwar (1), Sikar (1), Pratapgarh (1), Churu (1), Nagaur (1) and Rajsamand (1).
On the other hand, districts in which work hasn’t started are: Bikaner (8 panchayat bhawans), Alwar (6), Churu (5), Jaisalmer (5), Pratapgarh (4), Jaipur (3), Bharatpur (1), Dausa (1), Udaipur (1), Bundi (1) and Bhilwara (1). The districts in which land allotment is pending are: Jodhpur (5 panchayat bhawans), Jaipur (5), Jaisalmer (1), Churu (2) and Ganganagar (1).
Meanwhile, the state’s rural development and panchayati raj department is yet to provide land to 7,075 landless beneficiaries for building houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Grameen (PMAY-G).
Chief secretary Usha Sharma during a meeting of the state-level implementation, monitoring and coordination committee of PMAY-G had issued orders to fix a meeting with the collectors of 13 districts which were lagging.
