Take booster dose: Health dept

Mysuru: The district health department has appealed to the public to take the booster dose. As many as 60,000 vaccine doses are available in the district. After Covid-19 cases came down, people stopped taking the booster dose. Officials said sufficient number of doses are available in all government facilities. The department has planned to take up mass vaccination drives as a precautionary measure. Till now, the district has achieved 27.78% progress in booster dose administration.
District health officer KH Prasad held a meeting with senior officials on preparedness to face another Covid-19 wave. Officials reviewed the availability of beds, medical and para medical staff, isolation beds, availability of oxygen, medicines etc. Officials also decided to ask hospital staff to follow government guidelines on taking booster dose and Covid-19 precautionary measures. tnn
