Ranchi: City schools wore a festive look on Friday as they decorated their campuses with bells, streamers, and other decorative items. Ahead of their closure for winter vacation and the New Year, many schools organised numerous programmes for
Christmas in advance.
At Firayalal Public School, a play depicting the birth of Jesus Christ was staged.
Niraj Kumar Sinha, principal of Firayalal Public School, said, “Christmas is a festival of giving and sharing, of laughter, and of family gatherings. We celebrated the festival beforehand in order to instil in the students the importance of ethics, kindness, helping, and sharing. Diverse cultural programmes foster brotherhood among students.” At J K International School, the teachers shared the message of love and joy among the children while celebrating Christmas in school. One teacher dressed up as Santa Claus and distributed gifts among the children.
At Cambrian Public School, a skit on the birth of Jesus Christ was enacted.
