The most expensive player at the 2018 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, England's Ben Stokes could repeat his feat from that year in the mini-auction set for Friday afternoon.
Considered by many to be one of the great all-rounders of modern cricket, there is no doubt that Ben Stokes will be one of the biggest buys of the IPL 2023 auction.
Stokes did not feature in last year's IPL as he wanted to focus on his mental health and well-being, but the former Rajasthan Royals man will be gearing up for the 16th edition of the tournament and can expect a lot of paddles raised to sign the left-handed all-rounder.
Here's what the teams look like ahead of the auction:
The original longlist had 991 players but it was pruned to 405, out of which, 273 are Indian. The remaining 132 are overseas players, including 4 from Associate nations.
