New policy in UP set to fast-track land allotment

LUCKNOW: The state cabinet has given approval to the UP Warehousing and Logistics Policy-2022 which will provide fast-track system for land allotment, development of logistics zones and incentives for the development of the logistics and warehousing sector.
Once the new policy is notified, the UP Warehousing and Logistics Policy-2018 will cease to exist. Projects getting benefits under the 2018 policy will continue to enjoy the same even after the implementation of the new policy.
The aim of the policy is to develop a strong network of transport infrastructure, develop and improve existing warehousing and logistics infrastructure, encourage integrated development of logistics services in the state to reduce logistics costs and improve efficiency, establish an effective institutional mechanism for effective administration and integrated planning for the development of logistics sector.
