As per the data, when it comes to trending social media platforms, the 2022 highlights include Google coming in at number 1 overall, with Instagram (number 3) beating out Elon-led Twitter (number 4) in the social media category.
As we are inching closer to saying goodbye to 2022, we are looking back to the year that it was. From trending films of the year to smartphones that completely stole the show with their upgraded features and futuristic tools, this year was packed with a lot of surprises.

While we are gearing up for what the next year has in store for us, the Cloudflare Radar, which is a free tool that lets anyone view global trends and insights across the Internet, has released fresh data on what was trending on the Internet in 2022.

As per the data, when it comes to trending social media platforms, the 2022 highlights include Google coming in at number 1 overall, with Instagram (number 3) beating out Elon-led Twitter (number 4) in the social media category.

Whereas talking about streaming giants and who led this year, Netflix bagged the second spot on the list by losing to YouTube in the video category, while Apple Music took the crown and came first over Spotify in audio segment.

In crypto, FTX fell from number 7 to number 21 after declaring bankruptcy, while Binance took the number 1 spot in the category, as per the data.

Some of the biggest highlights from 2022 include:
