LUCKNOW: In light of the growing Covid-19 cases in some countries and the emergence of a new variant of the virus, chief minister Yogi Adityanath reconvened a meeting of Team-9 on Thursday to assess the threat of the disease in the state.
Saying that there is no immediate need to worry, with the positivity rate in the state at a low of 0.01%, the chief minister said that face masks should be encouraged in public areas.
He has also said that people should be encouraged to take the precaution dose, the coverage of which remains quite poor.
As of Thursday, there were 62 active Covid-19 cases in
Uttar Pradesh and in the 27,208 tests carried out over the past 24 hours, not a single positive case was reported.
