The NSE Nifty index closed 71.75 points down at 18127.35, while BSE Sensex ended down 241.02 points at 60826.22.
On the other hand, .(down 3.38 per cent), Mahindra & .(down 2.51 per cent), .(down 2.37 per cent), .(down 2.05 per cent) and .(down 2.02 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
