Second test Day 1: Ashwin strikes, Bangladesh 42/2

MIRPUR: Jaydev Unadkat claimed the wicket of Zakir Hasan while Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Najmul Hossain Shanto. Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and opted to bat first. The team is currently two down against India in the second and final Test at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka. 

Team India is being led by KL Rahul as Rohit Sharma misses the second game as well due to injury. The guests lead 1-0 after winning the first Test against Bangladesh by 188 runs. For the second game, India has replaced Kuldeep Yadav with Jaydev Unadkat.

India's stand-in captain KL Rahul said it was a difficult decision to keep Kuldeep out but he had confidence that Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel will do a good job.

"Hard decision on Kuldeep but we know Ashwin and Axar can find spin, and bring Jaydev in to cover all bases," said Rahul.

India, who won the first Test by 188 runs, were again without injured skipper Rohit Sharma who was replaced by KL Rahul.

On an overcast day, Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan said if his side could survive the first couple of hours, the home side could look to put up a good score and then put the visitors under pressure.

Bangladesh also made a few changes wherein they brought in Mominul Haque and Taskin Ahmed in place of Yasir Ali and Ebadot Hossain.

India had won the opening Test at Chattogram by 188 runs.
