MYSURU/CHIKKAMAGALURU: KPCC spokesperson M Lakshmana on Tuesday claimed that 21 Congress leaders were shortlisted for CBI, IT, and ED raids to force them to quit the party. He also claimed that even former CM BS Yediyurappa’s family was not spared by the BJP.
H e alleged that among the 21 leaders shortlisted, 8 - 9 are MLAs. “They are being threatened that the raids will stop only if they join the BJP. “BS Yediyurappa is threatened at gunpoint to work for the party. ED officials are following him and his family. His speeches are written by BJP members. Attempts are being made to destroy the political future of BY Vijayendra,” he said. Meanwhile, Lakshama said he will approach the Lokayukta against Mysuru MP Pratap Simha on his statement that bribes are paid to become VCs.
