CM’s efforts made mining resumption possible: BJP

Panaji: BJP on Tuesday said that the state government’s efforts to reduce export duty on iron ore, auction mining leases, and get an order to handle dumps will help generate revenue, which will help the state’s economy, development, and progress.
Party spokesperson Yatish Naik said that it is through chief minister Pramod Sawant’s constant effort that the mining industry and the economy of the state are set to revive like never before. It will help in revenue generation and provide stimulus to the rural economy, he said.
"BJP congratulates Sawant for all his efforts and those of the government in resuming the mining economy and industry in the state," Naik said.
He said that the state government has auctioned three mining blocks and that other blocks will also be similarly auctioned.
