A boil water advisory was issued for some Kimball Township residents following a water main break Tuesday night.

Kimball Township residents have been advised to boil water following a water main break Tuesday night.

Township Supervisor Rob Usakowski said a water main break was reported at Wadhams and Griswold roads at about 9 or 10 p.m. Tuesday. Water was shut off and residents off Griswold Road west of Wadhams Road were notified by phone call and email to boil water.

Repair crews returned to the site Wednesday morning to fix the break and were finishing the repair, Usakowski said at about 9 a.m. He was unsure when water would be turned on again, but he hopes that the boil water advisory will be lifted by Friday.

Usakowski said the township will keep residents updated on when the water would be turned on and the boil water advisory lifted via social media and door-to-door notifications.
