KOLKATA: Bidhannagar Police busted a job placement racket and arrested 14 people for duping youngsters of lakhs of rupees with false promises of employment at airports and with major airlines. A Bidhannagar cyber crime police station team raided the office of the placement agency, which called itself 'Blue Aviation Services (P) Ltd' at Chinar Park, and arrested the accused, including two directors Arun Shokeen and Aditi Badraika.
"One of the job-seekers was provided with a fake appointment letter for Bangalore airport. He had checked into a hotel in Bangalore but the office called him again and said he had been transferred to Kolkata, for which he had to pay another Rs 50,000," said the officer.
Kolkata airport authorities issuedcaution. "None needs to pay for a job with Airports Authority of India and the job openings are available on our website," said an airport official.
