ReutersNEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Wednesday.
Shares of Brigade Enterprises(up 2.65 per cent) and Macrotech Developers(up 0.66 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Indiabulls Real Estate(down 5.39 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 3.41 per cent), DLF(down 2.29 per cent), Sunteck Realty(down 1.84 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(down 1.83 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.62 per cent down at 430.6.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 186.2 points at 18199.1, while the BSE Sensex stood down 635.05 points at 61067.24.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 ended in the green, while 36 closed in the red.
Shares of , , IOB, UCO Bank and Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of , Integrated Personnel Services Ltd., , and hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while , KCK Industries Ltd., Viviana Power Tech Ltd., Arshiya and hit their fresh 52-week lows.
