Man dies in swimming pool

Surat: A 62-year-old man from Kapodra died in a swimming pool run by Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) on Tuesday.
The victim, Bhupat Savaliya fainted in the swimming pool located in Maharana Pratap Society in Kapodra. He was pulled out by the swimming coach and an 108 emergency ambulance was called after he started vomiting. However, the paramedics declared him dead.
Registering a case of accidental death, police started an investigation and are waiting for the final postmortem report to ascertain the cause of death.
The body was shifted to SMIMER hospital for postmortem.
