Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Piccadily Sugar(up 20.0%), Rajshree Sugars(up 19.96%), .(up 19.82%), Virtual Global Education Ltd.-Deleted(up 19.61%), Dhampure Special(up 18.59%), Sakthi Sugars(up 18.06%), Parvati Sweetners(up 16.57%), Dalmia Bharat(up 15.77%) and Godavari Drugs(up 15.35%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 301.93 points up at 61639.74, while the 50-share index, NSE was 81.2 points up at 18350.2.
In the Nifty50 index, 5 stocks traded in the green, while 44 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as , , , and hit their fresh 52-week high, while Inox Green Energy Services Ltd., , Inds., and touched their new 52-week low during the session.
