10 held for looting railway construction site with toy gun in Jharkhand

DALTONGANJ: Ten criminals have been arrested for allegedly looting heavy construction material and equipment from Chiyanki railway station under the east central railway of Dhanbad division on December 14 by threatening the guard with a toy gun, police said.
According to sub-divisional police officer of Sadar, Rishabha Garg, “About 10 to 15 criminals came to the construction site of the third railway line at Chiyanki railway station at 2am on December 14 and threatened the lone guard of the KPTL company, Mohiuddin Ansari, with a toy pistol which the guard couldn’t identify.”
Garg said, “The finish and the make of the toy was so good that any person can be fooled.”
The criminals looted heavy construction materials such as cable, iron bars, welding machine, shuttering material and other things. Mobile phone of Ansari was also looted. The criminals decamped in a four-wheeler.
Sadar police station in-charge Gautam Kumar and his team under the command of the SDPO Rishabha Garg made the arrests withing 48 hours of the crime. Garg said, “We caught 10 criminals. They are from Jharkhand and Bihar.”
The police have recovered cable, looted mobile phone of Ansari and the four-wheeler used in transporting the looted materials.
