The NSE Nifty index ended the session 151.45 points up at 18420.45, while BSE Sensex rose 468.38 points to 61806.19.
In the Nifty index, .(up 1.18 per cent), .(up 0.48 per cent), .(up 0.30 per cent), .(up 0.09 per cent) and .(up 0.01 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 3.58 per cent), Mahindra & .(down 2.75 per cent), & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 2.66 per cent), .(down 2.39 per cent) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 2.12 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
