Ahmedabad: 2 men swindle Satellite woman of jewellery worth Rs 1.4 lakh

AHMEDABAD: A 70-year-old woman from Satellite on Saturday filed a police complaint alleging that two men on a motorcycle swindled her of jewellery worth Rs 1.40 lakh on November 30.
Raju Bhagwat, a resident of Siddhraj Apartments in the Jodhpur area, said she was on a walk on the morning of November 30.
Two men on a motorcycle, in their 30s, rode up to her and said that some men were robbing people in Satellite. They advised Bhagat to put her gold bangles and gold necklace in a plastic bag.
Bhagwat said she was scared and followed their advice.
The men took the plastic bag from Bhagwat, and gave it back to her in a couple of second and then fled.
After a few minutes, she checked the bag and found that it was empty.
She said that she had put off filing a complaint as she thought the men may have mistakenly taken her valuables.
Bhagwat on Saturday filed a complaint with Satellite police against the two unknown men for cheating and breach of trust.
