SI attacked by miscreants in Raipurwa area, FIR lodged

Kanpur: A sub-inspector of police was allegedly attacked by a group of four men in Raipurwa area of the city on Friday night. The incident had taken place when the SI had asked the men to remove the pickup loader parked on the middle of the road in Raipurwa area. The pickup driver along with his aides beat up the SI.
After this, an attempt was also made to crush the SI with a pickup loader. In the case, the sub-inspector has lodged an FIR against four including the pickup driver. DCP Central Ravindra Kumar said that sub-inspector Ravinder Singh posted at Raipurwa police station was patrolling the area on Friday night.
A pickup was found standing in the middle of the road near Anwarganj station. Seeing the jam, SI Ravindra asked the driver to remove the pickup. However, the driver along with his aides attacked the SI and tried to crush him while trying to escape. Later, the people of the area caught three youths, while one managed to escape. Station in-charge Bhan Singh said that on the complaint of the SI, a case has been registered against four in several serious IPC sections including attempt to murder, assault.
