Jaipur: With the Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) initiating the second phase of allotment for spaces at the upcoming coaching hub in Pratap Nagar on Wednesday, only a few coaching centres have applied so far.
However, RHB officials are hopeful that this time the number of buyers would increase to a great extent as several coaching centres from Jaipur and elsewhere in the state and even from other states have started showing interests.
“Several big coaching institutions like Byju’s have started enquiring about upcoming hub. In the first three days as many as 64 institutions have showed interest and most of them are likely to apply for spaces,” said housing commissioner Pawan Arora.
Built on 67,000 sqm of land, the coaching hub will have 140 units for the coaching institutions to buy. In the first phase of allotment the response was too poor as RHB could allot only 37 units. This time the rest 103 units are in the list.
“It won’t be fair to say that we had poor response during the first phase of allotment. We had restricted the first phase only for the coaching institutions registered in Jaipur. Considering this fact, the response was not poor at all,” added Arora.
Once completed, this coaching hub will accommodate around 50,000 to 60,000 students together. There are six types of units in this compound. While the smallest ones are of 1,588.06 square feet and cost Rs 67,23,700, the biggest ones are of 8,025.56 square feet and cost Rs 3,70,75,600.
In addition, four plots in these projects would solely be for residential purposes. There would be accommodations for paying guests, guest houses (for guardians) and hostels. The hub will also house 500 studio apartments for students from well-to-do families. There would be restaurants, cafeterias and other recreational activities for the students within the compound.
