Woman commits suicide, in-laws booked

Ludhiana: A man and his family members were booked by Tibba police as his wife committed suicide by hanging herself at their Shakti Nagar house on Saturday. The deceased, Rupinder Kaur, 35, was married to Gurpreet Singh, 37, for the past 12 years. According to the victim’s brother Gurdeep Singh, the woman’s husband Gurpreet Singh, father-in-law Surinder Singh, mother-in-law Manjeet Kaur, brother-in-law and his wife pushed her to suicide as they would often beat her up over petty issues.
