Over 200 candidates join counselling session for competitive exams
Ranchi: In a bid to assist youths preparing for competitive examinations, including the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) and the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC), Employment Exchange, the wing of the labour employment training and skill development department, held a free career counselling and career guidance camp for the first time in the state.
Over 400 candidates from across the state participated in the programme. According to the Employment Exchange, there are over seven lakh registered unemployed youths in Jharkhand.
Employment officer of the Sub Regional Employment Exchange, said, “To help unemployed youths prepare for competitive examinations, including the JPSC and JSSC, the Employment Exchange is making special arrangements. In the counselling, the youth were informed of the subjects that require special attention for JPSC, JSSC and other competitive examinations in order to achieve success."
As a liaison between the job seeker and the employer, the sub-regional employment office aids unemployed individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. The organisation communicates with numerous businesses and the hiring of youths depends on the skill requirements of the businesses and the qualifications of the applicants. Interested candidates can register themselves online or offline on any working day. Youths who have completed Class VIII and are older than 14 years can register online at jharkhandrojgar.nic.in or offline through the Employment Exchange between 10 am and 5 pm.
