Two persons convicted for raping a minor

Ranchi: The special POCSO court on Saturday held two persons guilty of raping a minor girl. The accused have been booked under sections 376(d) of the Indian Penal Code and section 6 of the POCSO Act.
The duo have been identified as Rohit Oraon and Vikram Pahan.
The incident occurred on April 28, 2018 in an area which comes under the jurisdiction of Kanke police station.
Additional public prosecutor Mohan Kumar informed that the prosecution produced nine witnesses to establish its argument. He stated that the argument on point of sentencing is fixed on December 22.
The minor had gone to attend a marriage ceremony where a quarrel broke out. When her friends went back home, she too left the place. Oraon and Pahan had given her a lift on their scooty, while assuring that they would drop her at her home.
However, they took her to another place and committed the crime.
