According to police, the incident took place on Thursday evening when two persons identified as Kuldeep Kumar along with his colleague had gone to ask about the delay in paying of EMI from a customer identified as Surendra Swami.
“As they reached the market area situated at Chunu Chowk the accused Surendra Swami said that he won’t be able to pay the EMI for this month. This triggered a heated argument between them. Suddenly Swami poured the hot vegetable oil in which samosas were fried in a nearby shop on the two bank employees,” said
Narendra Kumar, the investigating officer of this case.
A large number of people gathered at the spot to help the two finance company employees. “Both were taken to the hospital where they were undergoing treatment. On the complaint given by both of them we had lodged a case of assault with an intent to kill against the accused. The accused identified as Surendra has been arrested in this case,” said Narendra Kumar, investigating officer of Kotwali police station in Jhunjhunu.
Police added that Surendra had taken a loan of Rs 1.30 lakh and was regularly paying the EMI decided by the bank.
