Jaipur: Taking a dig at the Congress government on the
eve of its 4th anniversary, former CM Vasundhara Raje on Friday said crimes against women and Dalits have increased, fuel price have gone up and unemployment and corruption have risen.
“We brought the state at the forefront of all development indicators that even the BIMARU tag was dropped during our government. Since the Gehlot government has forgotten its duty to serve people, the state now stands with backward states,” said Raje.
Responding to a question on BJP’s CM face, she said party leaders will take a decision at the right time.
Accusing the government of financial mismanagement, she said by the end of the government’s tenure, the debt on every person would be Rs 87,000, which is the highest-ever in the state’s history. “Despite the high-scale debt, people are still struggling for basic amenities as a result of their misgovernance,” said Raje.
Taking a swipe at Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, she said “Those who cannot unite their party in Rajasthan are going to unite India. Rahul Gandhi ji does not even have the right to show his face to the people of Rajasthan.”
Reminding Gandhi of the unfulfilled promises made to the people of the state, she said, “They would first fulfil the promise of waiving the entire loan of farmers which they had promised to do in the first 10 days of the government.”
Reacting to Rahul Gandhi’s statement of no trouble in the Congress party, she said, “If the party has no trouble, why would they stay locked up in hotels? Even ministers and MLAs are not being heard here, let alone the public.”
