Yogi: UP, TN working to realise ‘self-reliant India’

Varanasi: Drawing several parallels between Kashi and Tamil Nadu to give the message that India is a united country and its traditions and heritage are strongly interwoven, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, “Both UP and Tamil Nadu are promoting traditional enterprises and are working to strengthen the local artisans and craftsmen to realise the goal of a self-reliant India.”
Addressing the closing ceremony of the month-long Kashi Tamil Sangamam on Friday, Yogi said: “All elements of Indian culture are equally preserved in Kashi and Tamil Nadu. Kashi Tamil Sangamam became a wonderful amalgamation of two oldest and richest Indian centres of art, knowledge and culture.”
“As PM Modi inaugurated the cultural and spiritual extravaganza last month during the holy month of Kartik, the entire country witnessed the revival of centuries-old bond of knowledge and ancient civilizational linkage between the North and the South, strengthening the vision of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat,” said the CM.
Beginning his address with ‘Vanakkam Kashi’ and ‘Har Har Mahadev’, Yogi welcomed the guests from Tamil Nadu. “In the last month, 12 different groups from Tamil Nadu not only came here, but also visited cities of Prayagraj and Ayodhya to witness the religious significance of Uttar Pradesh,” he added.
He said that the holy Jyotirlinga established by Lord Shri Ram at Shri Rameshwaram and Lord Adi Vishweshwar installed in Kashi are worshipped as holy Jyotirlingas.
