Maharashtra's opposition alliance on Saturday held a march and rally seeking the removal of Bhagat Singh Koshyari as governor of the state and in protest against the Eknath Shinde-led government's 'lack of courage' in dealing with Karnataka on a border dispute.
The rally by the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) ended with constituent Nationalist Congress Party's chief Sharad Pawar warning the Centre that it should not take the people of the state for granted and shunt out Koshyari before the state 'erupts in anger'.
"Heroes like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and others have been spoken (about) very disparagingly. We will not tolerate such comments," Pawar said.
