Mysuru: MIT College in Tandavapura here announced five free seats to poor meritorious students annually as part of its decision to join hands with actor Vishal to serve society.
Speaking at the ‘Laththi’ movie promotion event at the college, principal YT Krishnegowda said Vishal would use the seats to support the needy. Earlier, students welcomed the actor. Maharaja Education Trust joint secretary H K Chetan was present. Earlier, Vishal said: “I am always committed to supporting inmates of Shaktidhama. I am ready to extend support whenever Dr. Raj’s family seeks help,” he said.
“Recently Prakash Raj spoke to me in connection with providing ambulance service in the name of Puneeth. I assured my support. It is the responsibility of all actors to help society,” he said.
He demanded a reduction of GST on film activities from the existing 28% and to act against piracy.
