GRP constable's wife arrested by Mathura police on theft charges

AGRA: Mathura police have arrested the 30-year-old wife of a government railway police (GRP) constable on theft charges.
Police recovered stolen items, including gold and silver jewellery, worth Rs 22 lakh hidden in the motor cabinet of a defunct washing machine at the accused Suhaga Devi's house. She has been sent to jail following court orders.
Refinery police station house officer, Chotelal said, "CCTV footage showed the accused entering her neighbour's house. She broke the lock of the house and took away jewellery kept in a cupboard. The incident took place when the complainant had gone to pick up her children from school. Her involvement in other cases of theft in the area is also being investigated."
