Two women rescued from life of prostitution; 2 held
Mysuru: The Mysuru city crime branch police arrested two men for running a brothel and rescued two women who were being engaged in prostitution, on Thursday.
The accused were allegedly running a flesh trade in the guise of providing massage services at a beauty parlour in Mahajan layout, under Vijayanagar police limits. Police have seized Rs 10,000 cash from them.
Children forced to beg rescued
Eight persons including six children begging on the streets of Mysuru city were rescued in a joint operation led by Mysuru city police. Members of the anti-human trafficking cell along with a special juvenile police unit and child line conducted a special drive at traffic junctions and crowded places including markets, a bus stand, a temple, Chamundi Hills and near Mysuru Zoo. They rescued two boys, three girls and two women along with a baby. All eight have been sent to rehabilitation homes.
