Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Simbhaoli Sugars(up 20.0%), Hardcastle Waud(up 19.99%), Ind Bank Hous(up 19.97%) and Rajshree Sugars(up 19.96%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 416.7 points down at 61382.33, while the 50-share index, NSE was 131.75 points down at 18283.15.
In the Nifty50 index, 6 stocks traded in the green, while 44 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as , , FACT, and hit their fresh 52-week high, while , , Inds., Dharmaj Crop Guard Ltd. and touched their new 52-week low during the session.
