‘Vijay Diwas’ 2022: J&K DGP and ADGP lay wreath at Balidan Stambh in Jammu

The Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir Dilbag Singh, and Additional Director General of Police Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh on December 16 laid wreaths at Balidan Stambh on the occasion of Vijay Diwas. Vijay Diwas is celebrated on December 16 every year to honour the victory of the Indian Armed Forces over Pakistan in the 1971 war that led to the birth of Bangladesh. On this day, India pays homage to all the soldiers who defended the nation. The day is also observed in Bangladesh as 'Bijoy Dibos'.
