Police station attack case: Former PSI gives statement

Panaji: In the 2008 Panaji police station attack case, the principal district judge and sessions judge, North Goa, on Thursday recorded the statement of the complainant, then PSI Tushar Lotlikar.
As only part of his statement was recorded, the court will continue recording his statement at the next hearing on December 17 after which cross examination will begin.
The court granted the public prosecutor’s request for time to furnish copies of the station diary.
It also asked the advocates for the accused to go to Porvorim police station along with the investigating officer and identify one of the vehicles that is not in a position to be brought to the court, Advocate Mavlon Afonso, representing six of the accused,said.
One cycle seized from the place, and a burnt motorcycle were produced. The prosecution is yet to produce four wheelers and photographs on evidence.
