12-yr imprisonment for raping minor girl

Kanpur: Special judge Pocso Act court Pervez Ahmad on Thursday sentenced accused Raja alias Mohd Waseem to 12 years rigorous imprisonment and also imposed a fine of Rs 45,000 for enticing, kidnapping and physically exploiting a minor girl.
The court observed in its order that Rs 30,000 out of the fine amount be given to the victim as compensation for suffering physical and mental agony. According to ADGC Sushil Verma, on August 16, 2014 the accused had enticed and kidnapped a minor girl from outside of her school around 10 am and thereafter repeatedly physically exploited her, who was just 14 years, and 3 months old. The complainant had lodged a report at the Babupurwa police station. tnn
