Teenage boy’s body recovered from well in Bhagalpur

BHAGALPUR: The body of a 16-year-old teenage boy was recovered from a well at Kahalgaon locality in Bhagalpur district on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Amit Kumar Jha of the same police station area. He was missing since Wednesday morning.
Local residents found the boy’s body floating into the well on Thursday morning and informed the local police. A team from Kahalgaon police station reached the spot and recovered the body. The police teams led by Kahalgaon SDPO and SHO have launched an investigation into the incident on the basis of the statements given by the family members and local residents. The body of the deceased has been sent to a government hospital for postmortem.
“The incident is being investigated from all angles on the basis of circumstantial evidence along with the statements of the family members and local residents. The culprits will be behind the bars soon,” said Shivanand Singh, Kahalgaon SDPO.
