Varanasi: Following a series of month-long events to further strengthen religious and cultural bonding of Kashi and
Tamil Nadu, the Kashi Tamil Sangamam will come to an end in the presence of Union home minister Amit Shah, chief minister Yogi Adityanath and a big band of ministers at Amphitheatre of Banaras Hindu University on Friday.
Providing details of the valedictory function of Kashi Tamil Sangamam, divisional commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma on Thursday said, “All preparations for the valedictory function had been finalised at the same venue where Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the event on November 19.”
Union home minister Amit Shah, Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Governor of Tamil Nadu RN Ravi, CM Yogi Adityanath, Union culture minister G Kishan Reddy and Union minister of state for fisheries, I&B L Murugan will take part in the valedictory function on Friday afternoon, said Sharma adding, 12th and the last batch of guests from Tamil Nadu, who had already reached the city, will depart for their place after the final day events of the Sangamam.
Apart from delegates of 12th batch from Tamil Nadu, he said, Tamil people settled in Kashi in past decades have also been invited while valedictory function would be opened for all to take part at amphitheatre ground of BHU, where arrangements for around 8,000 people has been made.
Apart from the district administration, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has also completed its preparations to make the concluding session of Kashi Tamil Sangamam a grand show.
