These high-performing stocks that rallied more than 10% during the session included, (14.97%), Rana Sugars(14.8%), KCP Sugar(14.73%), Essel Propack(14.23%), Parvati Sweetners(12.95%), Mahalaxmi Rub(12.91%), Themis Medicare(12.4%), Kohinoor Foods(11.45%), Nettlinx Ltd(10.79%) and National Fert(10.33%).
The 30-share Sensex ended 461.22 points down at 61337.81, while the 50-share Nifty index closed 145.9 points down at 18269.0.
In the Nifty 50 index, 5 stocks ended in the green, while 44 stocks closed in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as FACT, , , and hit their fresh 52-week high, while , , Sintex Inds., Dharmaj Crop Guard Ltd. and touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
