Kanpur, Varanasi, Meerut defeat rival teams in inter-division cricket

Kanpur: Kanpur, Varanasi, Meerut, Gorakhpur, Bareilly, Agra, Jhansi and Azamgarh defeated their rival teams in the state-level inter-division cricket championship held in the birth centenary year of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya at different grounds on Thursday.
District magistrate Kanpur Nagar Vishak G Iyer inaugurated the tournament which would be held from December 15 to December 21. The chief guest was introduced to the teams of Lucknow and Meerut divisions. Deputy director sports Mudrika Pathak, former international TT player Sanjeev Pathak and other persons were present on the occasion.
