Stock market update: Nifty Auto index falls 1.29% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded negative around 11:25AM(IST)on Friday in a weak market.

Eicher Motors(up 0.23 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Bharat Forge(down 3.07 per cent), TIINDIA(down 2.95 per cent), MRF(down 2.06 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 1.94 per cent) and Sona BLW Precision Forgings(down 1.92 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Auto index was down 1.29 per cent at 12746.6 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 88.0 points at 18326.9, while the BSE Sensex was down 273.32 points at 61525.71.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 11 were trading in the green, while 39 were in the red.

Shares of , , , and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of , , FACT, and hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while , , Inds., Coastal Corp(PP)and Dharmaj Crop Guard Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
