Sikar police make 12th arrest in Raju Theth murder case
Jaipur: A team of Sikar police on Wednesday arrested one more person who was involved in the murder conspiracy of gangster Raju Theth in which a man Tarachand was also killed. Twelve people have been arrested so far in the case.
With corroboration of evidence, police are planning to file a strong charge-sheet against the four main accused of firing and rest others in this case.
Senior police officers have been monitoring the interrogation and the progress in the investigation of this case.
Theth, a slain gangster, was gunned down outside his house and the assailants before living also shot a man identified as Tarachand dead.
“The accused identified as Umesh Gehlot has been identified who was found in supplying the arms to the accused involved in firing at Theth. He was not only involved in supplying the arms but also in the whole conspiracy of eliminating Theth,” said a senior police officer of Sikar police.
Umesh is from Bikaner and was in touch with the main four shooters who had killed Theth on December 3.
Police have already arrested 12 persons in this connection so far. “So far we have arrested those who were involved in firing and those who have helped the shooters in any capacity,” said Kunwar Rastradeep, Superintendent of police, Sikar.
“Our men are working on every minor detail from the day four main accused came in Sikar and started living as students in a private paying guest hostel. Also, the technical evidence of the phone call details of the accused have also been sought through forensic science laboratory (FSL). We don’t want to leave a single loophole in the case that may benefit the accused,” he added.
