“It is not 1962 anymore”: Former ITBP jawan remembers Indo-China war

Then 16-year-old in 1962 Tashi Dhundup, a local resident of Kangting Village in Tawang. Remembering the 1962 Indo-China war, 78-year-old Tashi Dhundup said that, the Chinese army personnel stayed in the Tawang sector area for about 2 months. “I have a lot of memories of 1962,” he says. Analysing the current situation, he says that the situation has completely changed and the army is doing a great job. In 1962, Tashi Dhundup joined ITBP and retired in the year 1989.
