These high-performing stocks that rallied more than 10% during the session included, Indbank Merc(13.92%), Orient Green Pwr(13.43%), MIRC Electronic(12.35%), GIC(10.71%) and Rollatainers Ltd(10.0%).
The 30-share Sensex ended 878.88 points down at 61799.03, while the 50-share Nifty index closed 245.4 points down at 18414.9.
In the Nifty 50 index, 7 stocks ended in the green, while 43 stocks closed in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as , , , and hit their fresh 52-week high, while , Inds., and Add-Shop E-Retail touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
