Nat’l Club drub South Gymkhana by 8 wkts

Kanpur: Ashwani Singh’s fine knock of 97 runs helped National Club beat South Gymkhana by 8 wickets and moved into the final of Satyavir Gupta memorial cricket tournament played at Kanpur South ground here on Wednesday.
Putting into bat South Gymkhana collected 165 runs in 34 overs. The highest 39 runs came from the bat of Ashish Bajpai who struck 6 boundaries and a six. Aman Tiwari claimed 5 wickets for 20 runs. National Club in response hit 166 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. Opener Ashwani Singh played a knock of 97 runs in 57 balls hammering boundaries and 8 sixes in his innings.
