While India is keeping a close eye on Chinese troop movements across the entire Line of Actual Control after the major clash in Galwan and most recently in Tawang last week. Former Indian Army chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane said that China trying to alter the status quo along LAC for many years. He said that the 'salami slicing' tactics of China have led to a 'more assertive response from the Indian Army. China has been doing this in very small incremental steps which by themselves do not look very dangerous. We call it salami slicing, coming up one inch at a time, but in the bargain, over a period of time they have gained a lot, he said.
